Ballyhaise Agricultural College will benefit from additional teaching appointments for Teagasc.
Local TD Brendan Smith has received confirmation that Teagasc has received approval for the appointment of 20 -two-year contract teachers, enabling the creation of more ‘Green Cert’ places immediately.
Some students in the constituency, up to now, were being told they had secured a place on the Green Cert course however, due to staff shortages, their placements couldn’t commence.
