It's expected he will be either charged or released in the coming hours.

Annie Heyneman and another man in his 60s were attacked at a house outside Kilnavart on Saturday night. 

It is understood she has been stabbed several times.

Gardaí are now currently combing the Ballinamore Rd for any evidence that may be able to find.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and those with information to come forward.

The area remains sealed off this morning as Gardai await Garda forensic teams to arrive.
