Ballybay influencer Rebecca Rose Quigley recently travelled with Team Hope volunteers to Romania to help distribute Christmas shoeboxes to children there. The Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal sees people from all over Ireland send gift filled shoeboxes to children living in poverty in countries in Eastern Europe. Since 2010, the appeal has delivered 2.5 million shoeboxes to children in countries across Eastern Europe and Africa who are experiencing poverty.
While the date to drop off a physical shoebox has now passed, people can still build a box online at www.teamhope.ie up until December 23rd. Speaking to Northern Sound, Rebecca Rose said that this year, the need is as great as ever. The Co Monaghan influencer explained how she has witnessed first hand the difference that the shoeboxes can make to the children who receive them.
According to Rebecca Rose, you cab build a box online at https://www.teamhope.ie/christmas-shoebox-appeal/take-part-online/ right up until December 23rd. Or alternatively follow Team Hope on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
