Part VIII planning approval was granted by members of Monaghan County Council for a major upgrade of the playground in the Corrybrennan area of Ballybay. The project will see the construction of a multi-use games area with no objections put forward in the public consultation process.
Welcoming the enhancement works to Northern Sound, local councillor Seamus Coyle said that this is a project that he has been working on for some time. According to Cllr Coyle, the playground in question serves two housing estates where there is a young population. He added that upgrade works to the current playground will be a great addition to the local area and is welcome news for local families.
