A meeting of the Ballybay/Clones Municipal District heard last week that footpaths on Ballybay’s main street are set to be upgraded.
Council executives told those gathered on Monday that works will begin in early June.
It was also suggested during proceedings that money earmarked for overlay works on the road between Newbliss and the water treatment plan be re-designated to the Scotshouse Road, a part of which is in a bad state of repair.
The meeting heard that if there was any money left over, it could be used for overlay works on a section of the Newbliss Road.
Meanwhile, it was highlighted how necessary the works were on the Scotshouse Road before the matter was brought to a close.
Ballybay/Clones Municipal District added that he understood the need for works on the Scotshouse Road and said transferring the funds over for that was "a good idea".
