CCTV schemes for Clones and Ballybay will be out for public consultation in the coming weeks. Members were informed at the latest meeting of the Ballybay-Clones MD that for Ballybay, a consultant has been appointed to examine the feasibility of a CCTV scheme in the town.
According to MD Co-ordinator, Matthew Lambe, the council and the Gardaí have completed an assessment of suitable locations and designs are being reviewed. While in Clones, a meeting between engineers and the Design Security Consultant took place last month to assess suitable locations and preliminary designs are being prepared.
Public consultations on both schemes will begin in the next few weeks. All councillors welcomed the progress on the new CCTV cameras
