The Ballybay ambush which took place exactly one hundred years ago is being remembered today.
The event which took place on New Year Eve and into New Years Day, involved an ambush of four members of a local RIC footpatrol by the Ballybay IRA battalion.
It was hoped to mark the ambush with a commemoration but with restrictions in place this has been postponed.
