Bailieborough Swimming and Leisure Centre say it's looking forward to drawing down funding of over €120,000 as soon as possible.
There had been concern for the future of the leisure centre, with local councillors and TDs warning that it isn't feasible with the current Covid-19 restrictions.
It had been expected that funding for the centre would be made available but the exact amount had not been decided upon.
Management today confirmed it had been approved for a grant of €122,500 under the covid-19 stability fund.
The Board of the leisure centre say plans are now in place to re-open in early 2021.
The Board also thanked its General Manager, Mary McConnell, who has worked at the Leisure Centre since its opening.
She is taking personal time away from the leisure centre and the board is seeking a replacement manager for this post.
