A motion has been passed by the Bailieborough-Cootehill MD calling for an audit to be carried out on roads and junctions in need of white line road markings.
The motion was proposed by Councillor Aiden Fitzpatrick, who told the meeting that people have approached him to raise concerns about missing white lines on roads within the county.
He says the white line is vital for visibility in foggy weather and for people who may not be familiar with the road.
Councillor Fitzpatrick says funding is a major contributor to this issue, and he told Northern Sound that there has been a €100 million deficit in roads funding since 2008:
