An awarding winning film set in Co Cavan is hitting the big screen today.
Redemption of a Rogue, which is directed by Cavan Town playwright Philip Doherty and features a mainly Cavan-based cast and crew, is available to watch in cinemas nationwide from this evening.
It won the award for Best Irish Film and Best First Feature Film at last year's Galway Film Fleadh.
Doherty also scooped the Best Director award at the recent Kimolos International Film Festival for his work on the feature length show.
Redemption of a Rogue is billed as a dark Irish comedy that tells the story of a prodigal son returning to his hometown in search of salvation for his sins.
