An award-winning film set in Cavan, and directed by a Cavan native and featuring a mainly Cavan cast, is set for its cinematic debut.
“Redemption of a Rogue” will hit the big screen on the 27th of August.
Written and directed by local playwright Philip Doherty, the black Irish comedy is described as the story of a prodigal son returning to his hometown in search of salvation for his sins.
Philip says the film is inspired by some of Cavan’s “larger-than-life characters”, as well as the county’s “beautiful landscape”.
