The average residential vacancy rate in the Northern Sound region now stands at 5.8%.
According to the latest geodirectory report for Q4 2024, Cavan's vacancy rate is 7% whilst Monaghan's rate is 4.5%. This is above the national average of 3.8% however this rate is now at an all time low. 424 buildings were also under construction in Monaghan in December, while 376 were under construction in Cavan. The report also shows the average property price in Cavan stood at 224-thousand and 226-thousand in Monaghan
