House prices across the region have grown by over 10% on average since last year.
The finding comes from a recent analysis by the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers, published in the latest Sunday Independent.
The institute provided a breakdown of house prices across the country from January to July 2024 and compared current prices to what they were in the same period last year.
2-bed apartments in Co Monaghan have seen a price jump of 9.2%, the highest in the region, with the average price of one currently at €156,000.
While Cavan seen the same percentage increase with a 2-bed apartment costing just over €125,000.
The average price of a 3-bed semi-detached house in Monaghan. is €238,000, and a 4-bed costs an average of €304,000 this year. The report also showed a 3-bed semi-detached costs on average €220,000 in Co Cavan and a 4 bed costs €255,000 in the county.
