The price of the average second-hand three-bed semi in Cavan has risen to €175,000, an increase of 4.2% in the last three months.
The Q2 update is according to a national survey by Real Estate Alliance, which also found that the average time taken to sell across the County Cavan fell by one week to an average of three weeks.
The survey also found the price of the average second-hand three-bed semi in County Monaghan has risen to €210,000, up 5% from €200,000 in the last three months.
Across the Farney County, the average time taken to sell has fallen by one week to an average of four weeks, the Q2 REA Average House Price Index shows.
Agents in Cavan found 40% of sales directly linked to landlords leaving the market, while the figure was 30% in Monaghan.
Dermot Conlon of REA Gunne Property in Carrickmacross says activity has stalled, however, due to the lack of supply, prices have not so far been adversely affected, as the shortage of property for sale is sustaining price levels.
