House prices across the country have increased by 13% over the last 12 months.
That's according to the latest Daft.ie report, which has Dublin behind Cavan and Monaghan when it comes to the rate of increases.
In the Northern Sound region, year-on-year prices across Monaghan are up 16.1% year-on-year, with an average price of close to €198,000.
In Cavan, the year-on-year increase is 14.8%, with the average home costing just under €174,000.
Prices in Dublin rose by 8.4%, and the report's author, economist Ronan Lyons, says the steeper increase in rural areas could be the result of a move towards remote working:
