At least 100 of Home Instead's new jobs will be based in Cavan and Monaghan.
The elderly care provider announced this morning that it is creating 1,000 new positions across the country.
The company currently employs 4,000 staff and provides non-medical homecare support to 7,000 people across Ireland.
Today's announcement follows that of Castleblayney company Irish HomeCare, which announced 750 new jobs in June.
Chief Operating Officer of Home Instead, Shane Jennings told Northern Sound that there's a shortage of caregivers in the region.
