Castleblayney College has received approval to proceed to the construction stage of its refurbishment of existing rooms for special education.
Minister for Education, Norma Foley made the announcement yesterday.
Fianna Fail TD for Cavan/Monaghan, Deputy Niamh Smyth said the funding for the project is being provided under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.
She added the school was an excellent provider of education and the refurbishment works would enhance the services already in place there.
"I'm delighted that Castleblaney College will receive funding under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme to carry out these works," she added.
"The school is an excellent and expanding school and approval for the refurbishment works is most welcome."
