Local representatives have "welcomed" the decision made by Education Minister, Norma Foley, to issue approval for the new 5 classroom school for Scoil Mhuire, Rockcorry to go to construction.
The decision was announced on Friday evening as a result of funding allocated by the Department of Education.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Brendan Smith said it was a "welcomed development" and that he "compliments" all involved in bringing this project to this stage.
Meanwhile, Deputy Niamh Smyth also welcomed the announcement by her colleague, Minister Foley, and "congratulated" all of those involved:
