The Department of Education has issued approval for plans to proceed to Stage 2b for additional accommodation at Inver College, Carrickmacross. The news was confirmed this morning to Northern Sound by Senator Robbie Gallagher who described the development as "great news" for education in Monaghan.
The extension will include four SEN classrooms, two special education tuition rooms, a music room, a science laboratory and prep room, two technology rooms along with a prep room, a general purpose hall and conversion to provide science lab, art room and textiles room.
The stage 2b report will then be submitted to the Department for review and the school shall then seek approval to move to Stage 3 Tender stage.
