Planning permission has been lodged with Monaghan County Council for a change of use from retail to 3 apartments in Carrickmacross. Boyle Sports has applied to repurpose the building to a one-bed and two separate two-bed apartments.
Elevational alterations to the buildings; alterations to the existing lower ground floor; and access to the existing ground floor bookmakers are a part of the purposed plans. The application includes plans for a revised vehicular entrance to the existing car parking area, footpaths, bin and ancillary storage areas; and connections to public infrastructure.
The proposed development is in the curtilage of a protected structure located on Shirley House Lane in the town and planners will make a decision on the application by the end of July.
