An appeal has been lodged against Cavan Council’s decision to grant planning permission for a campsite in Virginia.
Among the issues raised are concerns over the impact the site will have on water quality in the area and the anticipated increase in traffic on Lough Ramor.
Permission for the tourist facility was granted by the local authority - with a number of conditions attached - on the 28th of July last.
However a number of submissions, with regard to the decision, were submitted throughout the month of August.
Meanwhile, a decision on the matter is expected from An Bord Pleanala in December.
