Gardaí in Monaghan are appealing for the public's assistance in relation to a number of crimes which have taken place in recent weeks. Gardaí are hoping that any information big or small can help as they continue with investigations. Locally, Gardaí are investigating a burglary which took place in the Dunelty area of Inniskeen during the night of Thursday the 14th of December. A large quantity of tools were taken during this burglary and Gardaí in Carrickmacross would like to hear form anyone who may have information in relation to this crime or noticed anything suspicious in Inniskeen on the night of the 14th of December to get in touch.
Moving to the area of Killyconnigan in Monaghan, a home was forcibly entered between Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd of December. The house was not occupied at the time and a number of jewellery items were stolen. Gardaí in Monaghan would appreciate a call from anyone with information regarding this crime. Elsewhere, a burglary took place in the vicinity of Fermanagh terrace in Clones. An unoccupied home was forcibly entered between the 24th and 29th of December. This home is currently under renovation however the work was not ongoing between Christmas and the New Year. Anyone with information is asked to make contact with Gardaí in Clones.
An incident of criminal damage was also reported in Castleblayney in the early of hours of Christmas Day between 2am and 7am. This crime took place on the Main Street of Castleblayney and traffic beacons, signs and planted pots were damaged.
