Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to a number of thefts which have occurred in recent weeks across Co Cavan. According to Garda Lisa Stephens of Bailieborough Garda Station, anyone with information on any of the crimes reported well go a long way in assisting investigating officers. Gardaí in Bailieborough are investigating the theft of a blue mole plough from lands at Kilnacross in Beglieve on the 7th December. Gardaí want to hear from anyone with information in relation to this item which was stolen from a remote area. Elsewhere, Gardaí in Baillnagh are investigating the unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle from Forge Brook in Ballinagh between the hours of 12 midnight and 7:45am on the 12th of December.
A Grey Hyundai Tuscon grey with the partial registration place of 211 MN was stolen overnight. Gardaí want to hear from anyone with information which will be of assistance to investigating officers in Ballinagh. Meanwhile, Gardaí in Ballyconnell are investigating a burglary which took place in the early hours of the 13th of December at Scrabby in Corlough. A shed was entered and a chainsaw, mower and Honda Quad taken. Gardaí want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at that time and noticed anything suspicious to contact them. Also in the Ballyconnell area, Gardaí are investigating the theft of black/brown coloured Yamaha grizzly quad bike from a property on the 16th of December between the hours of 3 and 4am in the Bawnboy area.
