Gardaí in Co Cavan are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries which have occurred over the last month. Garda Lisa Stephens of Bailieboro Garda Station is calling on members of the public to assist in any way they can. Gardaí in Bailieboro are investigating a burglary that occurred on the 7th of September between 6am and 6.20am at Apple Green Bailieboro.
The glass on the front door was smashed to gain entry. Three intruders were observed fleeing the scene with a quantity of items and made of in a vehicle believed to be a silver Hyundai possible an ix35 model. Gardaí in Bailieboro want to hear from anyone who may have travelled the Kingscourt to Baileboro road from 6.20am and that may have dash cam footage. Staying in the Bailieboro area, Gardaí are investigating a burglary which took place on the 10th of September at Smith's XL shop, Galbally shortly after 6am. The bottom pane of glass was removed from the front door to gain entry and a till was stolen containing a sum of money. Detectives in Bailieboro want to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity to get in touch. Also on the 10th of September, between the hours of 4.30am and 5.30am. The men's corner barber shop was forcibly entered in Virginia where a small quantity of money was taken.
Finally, in the Clonandra area of Redhills, a burglary occurred at a property on the 24th of September between 2pm and 4pm. The home owner returned to find the bottom panel of the front UPVC door was forced open and rooms were ransacked within. According to Garda Stevens it is possible that culprits were disturbed as they did not gain anything of value. Despite this Gardaí would like to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious vehicles or people on that day or the days leading up to get in touch.
