A house was broken into in the Tullybryan area of Monaghan Town. The perpetrators ransacked the house during the break-in which happened during working hours on Tuesday last.
As part of their investigations Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance and ask anyone who observed anything unusual or suspicious to contact Monaghan Garda station on 047 77200. In an online post, Gardaí reminded people of some precautions they can take to protect their homes and property. They advise homeowners to lock all doors and windows; leave on some lights, use an alarm, don't keep large amounts of cash and store keys away from windows and letterboxes.
