Gardaí in Monaghan are currently investigating an assault that took place in the early hours of Friday morning last. One man was injured and was brought to Craigavon Hospital where he received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí confirmed to Northern Sound that they are following a definite line of enquiry in relation to this assault.
Gardai based in Monaghan Town have issued an appeal for information, they are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed an altercation in the Glaslough St and St Peter’s Lake area of the town, or anyone who may have dash cam footage from the area between midnight and 1am on Friday night last.
