Monaghan Gardai have confirmed to Northern Sound News that they are actively investigating incidents involving the activities of a man in the Rossmore Park area.
As a result they say they have increased their visible presence with foot and mobile patrols at the popular local forest park.
Monaghan Gardai have issued an appeal to the local community and visitors to the park to remain vigilant. The appeal follows reports received from members of the public of a man 'acting suspiciously' over the past number of weeks in the wider Rossmore area.

They are calling on anyone that sees anyone acting suspicious to immediately report to Monaghan Gardai directly or 112 / 999.
