Gardaí are appealing for information following a number of burglaries which took place over the past month in Co Cavan. According to Garda Lisa Stephens of Bailieborough Garda Station, anyone with information is asked to make contact by calling your local Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111. The first incident occurred on the 17th of May between the hours of 10am and 11am in Lakeview, The Fairgreen, Cavan. A rear patio door was forced open and the house was ransacked. However the culprits left empty handed. A dark coloured saloon type vehicle similar to an Audi was observed in the area during this time.

Elsewhere, Gardaí in Bailieborough are investigating a burglary which took place in Maple Court on the 17th of May between the hours of 1:15pm and 3pm. A rear door was forced open to gain entry and the house was also ransacked. The culprits made off with a small sum of money. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area on the 17th of May to contact them.
