Gardai in Co Monaghan are appealing for information in relation to a number of incidents in the Ballybay area. According to Garda Tracy Donaghy of Carrickmacross Garda Station, a number of burglaries were reported in the Ballybay area. Gardai are currently investigating a burglary which took place in the Stranooden area of Monaghan. This burglary took place after midnight on the night of Thursday the 9th of January and before 9am on the Friday morning of the 10th of January. Two quad bikes and a selection of tools were stolen. Gardai in Ballybay are appealing to anyone with to come forward or if you were in the Stranooden area and noticed anything suspicious to make contact with Gardai.
Elsewhere, a home was broken into in Knocknamaddy sometime between 7am and 7pm on Wednesday the 22nd of January. A number of items were stolen and Gardai are looking for anyone with information to come forward. Staying in the Ballybay area, a home was reported in the Corciaran area. This burglary also took place on Wednesday the 22nd of January and was between 3pm and 7pm. Anyone who was in the area at that time and noticed anything suspicious is asked to make contact with Ballybay Gardai.
