Garda Tracey Donaghy of Carrickmacross Garda Station has issued an appeal following a spate of burglaries. According to Garda Donaghy, any small piece of information can be "very helpful" with progressing Garda enquiries. Gardaí in Carrickmacross are investigating a burglary which took place during the night of Saturday the 11th of May in the area of Taplagh, Broomfield, Castleblayney. During the course of this burglary, two lawnmowers and a number of garden equipment items were stolen. If you notice anything suspicious in the Taplagh area on the evening of Saturday the 11th of May or during that night, please make contact with the Gardaí in Carrickmacross.
Gardaí are also appealing for information in relation to a burglary which took place on the night of Sunday the 12th of may also in the vicinity of Taplagh in Broomfield, a garden shed was broken into and several tools were stolen. If you noticed anything out of the ordinary over the weekend of the 11th and 12th of May, Gardaí would like to hear from you. Elsewhere, Gardaí in Monaghan are investigating a burglary at a home in Kilnaclay, Threemilehouse. This burglary took place just before lunchtime on Friday the 17th of May. In this case, a home was forcibly entered and a number of items were stolen. Gardaí in Monaghan would like to hear from you if you have any information which could assist this investigation.
