Appeal for witnesses issued after cyclist killed in Monaghan

Gardai have issued an appeal in relation to a fatal collision in North Monaghan.

A cyclist in his 30s was the only person involved. This collision happened at Gort an Teannal in Knockatallon at about 1.15am on Saturday morning last.

He was seriously injured and removed to Enniskillen Hospital, where he passed away on Tuesday night. Investigators at Monaghan Garda Station are appealing for information.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
