Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident, which happened in Kinawley at the weekend. A man in his 50s sadly died in the incident which happened after he set out on a fundraising classic car run from Derrylin on Sunday morning.
The PSNI confirmed they received a report of a single vehicle collision at approximately 10:10am on the Stragowna Road in Kinawley. The popular car run was due to continue on to Ballyconnell, Ballinamore and Derrnacreeve. Organisers thanked some of those affected by the tragedy for choosing to return to start of the run "as a mark of respect".
The PSNI's collision investigation unit is now appealing to anyone who may have any information which would assist them in their enquiries or, who may have been travelling in the area at the time and have dashcam or any other footage, to get in touch.
