Speaking to Northern Sound, election hopeful Gráinne McPhillips said that rural development and community issues will be amongst the many items up for discussion at tonight 's event. She added that tonight offers an opportunity for people to talk about important issues at a local and national level, and to also get a feel for what she described as a "reliable alterative" with Aontú.
"Tonight is a public meeting, Peadar Toibín will give a presentation as will local candidates but there will be an opportunity after the presentations for people to put forward their concerns and ask questions which is so important," explained Gráinne. "We want to gain a sense of how locals are feeling so as a party we can then address any concerns."
