Cavan General has seen another substantial drop in the number of patients with Covid-19.
42 patients with the virus were being treated in hospitals locally last night, according to the HSE.
There had been concerns about the impact of Covid-19 on Cavan Hospital last month as the number of patients with the virus sat around 30 for a number of days.
However, the number has been falling steadily over the past two weeks with the number of total cases in the county also dropping.
The latest HSE report shows six patients were being treated there last night, a drop of 10 over the past week.
In other local hospitals, Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda was treating 20 patients with Covid last night, with five in Our Lady's in Navan.
Galway University Hospital was treating four patients, there were three in Sligo Hospital and two each in Mullingar and Portiuncula Hospitals.
