Monaghan County Council is set to send another invite to the Transport Minister, Eamon Ryan, to view the "atrocious conditions" of the county's local and regional roads.
Cllr Seamus Coyle has passed a number of motions recently inviting the Transport Minister to Co Monaghan to personally inspect the road network.
At this week's County Council meeting, Cllr Coyle noted that we "forwarded the motion again, but there is no action from Eamon Ryan".
His motion also called for a letter to be sent to the Transport Minister seeking additional funding for local roads.
PJ O'Hanlon asked that this letter also be sent to "the Taoiseach, Tánaiste, local TDs and Senators".
Cllr O'Hanlon added that "we are pleading and begging here" for more funding and "need a meeting with the Minister".
