It has been announced that SOSAD is opening a branch in Monaghan Town.
General Manager of the organisation Carol West, has told Shannonside Northern Sound that they hope to have the centre open by mid or the end of March.
Work is underway today shortlisting for the role of co-ordinator, with the rest of the service supported by volunteers.

Carol says that while there is a branch in Carrickmacross, it was proving difficult for people in the North of the county to access the service and this will make it easier for those on the opposite side of the county.
She also confirmed they received lottery funding for both Cavan and Monaghan which will go towards developing bereavement groups for people bereaved of suicide and Covid:
