An Post says the new digital stamp won't signal the end of the traditional one. The postal service has launched an online stamp service that can be obtained via an app on your phone.
They've guaranteed next working day delivery from post boxes and a confirmation via text or email. Tech Correspondent, Jess Kelly, explained how it will work.
"I think at some stage we've all been caught out where you need to post something urgently but you don't have time to go and buy a physical stamp. The beauty of this is its simplicity - you do it from an App on your phone.

"It's €2 for a regular envelope and then you pick up your pen and write the code on the envelope," she added.
