A number of water treatment plants and pumping stations are still without power.

Uisce Éireann is continuing to work to restore normal water supply to customers across Cavan and Monaghan following disruption caused by the impact of Storm Éowyn. The high winds and immense power of Storm Éowyn resulted in a number of power outages across counties Cavan and Monaghan. A number of water treatment plants and pumping stations are still without power.

Impacted areas across the county include Carrickmacross, Smithborough and Newbliss. To support customers, alternative water supplies are in place at the following locations: In Co Cavan, The playground, Virginia Road, Mullagh until 10am 28th January, Ballyjamesduff, St Clare's college until 10am 28th January, Kingscourt, Supervalu Car Park, Kells Road, Belturbet, Centra Shop on old Cavan road until 10am 28th January, Ballyconnell, Kildallon GAA Grounds until 10am 28th January, Ballyhaise, St Mary's Church until 10am 28th January and Cootehill, White Horse Hotel until 10am 28th January.

Elsewhere in Co Monaghan, alternative water supplies can be found Behind Court House in Monaghan Town, the Civic Office / Library in Carrickmacross, in Ballybay the Mart Car Park and the Commons Car Park in Castleblayney.
