Almost €42,000 announced for local social enterprises

Approximately 120 social enterprises from all across Ireland are set to receive support under the scheme.

Almost €42,000 has been announced for social enterprises in the region.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, has announced one million euro in funding will be allocated nationwide under the Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme.

This Grant scheme for 2021 will provide funding for the purchase of equipment or the carrying out of repairs or refurbishments to enable social enterprises to improve their service delivery.

Approximately 120 social enterprises from all across Ireland are set to receive support under the scheme.

Locally Cavan is to receive the largest amount of funding at over €22,000, while Monaghan will benefit from €19,919.

In the Shannonside region Roscommon will get the highest sum with €20,635 allocated.

Groups should check with their LCDC for further information on applying for the allocated funding.
