Almost €30,000 has been raised by a 12 year old Cavan boy who undertook a 123 km cycle in aid of Cuan Cavan.
Billy Lord alongside his father cycled from the Beacon Hospital in Dublin to Cuan in Cavan on Saturday last.
It's all in an effort to to raise funds for Cuan because his family have been so supportive by the local organisation. Billy said he wanted to give back after his mam was diagnosed with breast cancer in December. Since then, Cuan have been a constant in his families life. His cycle was to symbolise the journey his Mum made each and every week for her treatment.
Billy crossed the line in Cavan on Saturday afternoon and to date has raised almost €29,000. Billy's mother Stephanie says Cuan in Cavan have been fantastic from day one and it's wonderful to see so much being raised by Billy for this great cause.
