Almost 70 per cent of all local complaints about broadband services were
about Eir.
85 of the 125 complaints made in the region since the start of 2019 were to Eir.
125 complaints from across Cavan, Monaghan, Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon
were logged with ComReg in the past two years about issues with broadband
providers.
68 per cent, or 85 of them, were related to Eir. Vodafone was next, but only had 23, or 18 per cent.
Complaints are lodged with the communications regulator if initial contact
with the service provider proves unsuccessful or unsatisfactory.
They can be made under six headings; service issues, billing, contractual
issues, porting or switching service, installation and customer service.
57 per cent of all complaints in Cavan were to Eir, and 63 per cent of those
in Leitrim.
The company had to thirds of the complaints in Longford, and 72 per cent in
Monaghan.
In Roscommon, 80 per cent of all complaints about broadband were from Eir
customers.
