Almost 6,000 blood donations were received in Cavan and Monaghan last year.
According to Freedom of Information figures, donation rates increased slightly on 2020, when they declined because of the pandemic.
In Cavan, there was no change in the number of donations over the past two years, with 3,600 received in both 2020 and 2021.
While in Monaghan there was a 6 per cent increase in 2021, when 2174 donations were received.
