Almost €5k raised for Holy Family School by local man

The 82 year old cycled on his 1960s' Raleigh Bike the 30km old railway line from Navan to Kingscourt.

A Cheque Presentation took place to Rachel Moynagh, Principal from the Holy Family School Cootehill for €4,750 in recent days.

The proceeds were raised from Greg O'Reilly's Vintage Charity Cycle and raffle which took place on the 27th of July.

The 82 year old decided for his and his wives 61st Wedding Anniversary did would seek funding towards the cost of a new accessible bus instead of gifts.  The O'Reilly family would like to thank everyone who donated to this well worthy cause and to the local media for highlighting Greg's challenge.

He cycled on his 1960s' Raleigh Bike on the 30km old railway line from Navan to Kingscourt. All funds collected went to the Parents Association of The Holy Family School in Cootehill, where his grandson Shaun attends.
