Issues surrounding the delays of the taking-in-charge of housing estates process was raised by local Senator Robbie Gallagher in the Seanad in recent days.
Senator Gallagher raised the on ongoing delays within Uisce Eireann addressing connection issues which is obstructing the taking-in-charge of residential estates by Local Authorities.
He told the Minister of state for housing Malcolm Noonan that there are currently 28 housing estates in Monaghan that are being what he described being left in limbo due to these delays.
Minister Noonan in his response to the local senator said that this was a very important issue and the number of 28 estates in County Monaghan was significant.
Speaking to Northern Sound News Senator Robbie Gallagher said that Uisce Eireann needs this issue to be resolved so these housing estates can be taken charge by Monaghan County Council.
