Fr Joe McGrath and Aidy's family are to host an all-day coffee morning at Aidy's home in Kilcogy in memory of him and in aid of the new webcam service.

Parishoners of Mullagh and Lough Duff together with their new priest have found a way to fundraise for new Church webcams while remembering one of their own, Aidy Sheridan.

When parish priest of Mullahoran, Fr Joe McGrath, mentioned his idea of fundraising enough to buy and install the webcams, Aidy Sheridan's family approached him. Together they decided to host an all-day coffee morning at Aidy's home in Kilcogy in memory of him and in aid of the new webcam service. Any extra money raised will go towards developing a new play park in the area something everyone who knew Aidy says he would be thrilled with.

Describing Aidy as a "giant of a man" to his family, community, colleagues and in GAA circles, Fr McGrath said his wife thought it would be a fitting tribute and something the father-of-four would approve of. Fr McGrath says the webcam would benefit the elderly and sick of the parish and all the Mullahoran /Kilcogy diaspora take part in their local mass and other services.
