A new cross-border trade hub which will give businesses direct access to the latest trade information has been launched by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Simon Coveney.
Hailed as a digital 'one stop shop', the new hub will help businesses north and south to benefit from the growing estimated annual €12bn cross-border trade opportunity.
The hub also supplies free advice and support to help businesses trade efficiently on key areas like customs, VAT, regulation and cross-border employment.
The trade hub came about following an InterTradeIreland surevy in which 86% of responders who don't already export said they'd consider developing cross-border sales.
Speaking at the launch in Dublin today, CEO of InterTradeIreland, Margaret Hearty said the new cross-border trade hub provides advice "tailored to the needs of businesses, with direct access to the answers they need".
Two further events are planned for Portlaoise on October 17th and Derrry on Novermber 22nd.
