The Department of Education has approved the upgrading of toilet facilities at at St Bricin's College in Belturbet.
The approval has issued to Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board in respect of the upgrading of toilet facilities by Minister Norma Foley this afternoon.
This latest development is in addition sanctioning the provision of eight new classrooms through modular buildings at the school.
The ETB has since submitted planning permission to Cavan Co Council for the classrooms.
Deputy Brendan Smith has congratulated all those involved who have helped to bring the plans to fruition.
"I compliment the ETB on submitting these successful applications," he continued.
"I was glad to strongly support through representations to Minister Foley and I wish all involved with these projects every success.
