Measures put in place to allow for the continuation of mental health services in Cavan and Monaghan could continue into the future.
Dr Feargal Leonard of the Cavan Monaghan Mental Health Services said they have had to be innovative in order to operate and remain accessible throughout the pandemic.
In response to the pandemic, many consultations have taken place over the phone or via video, and Dr Leonard says feedback from service users has been positive and they’ll look at possibly extending the use of those measures in future.
He spoke to The Wider View about some of the additional measures that are being used to reduce the risk of covid-19 during face-to-face consultations:
