A Monaghan Councillor has called for funding to be made available for the "terrible roads" around Slieve Beagh in north Monaghan.
Slieve Beagh is not on the roads plan for the next three years and Cathy Bennett says this is something that "should be worked on".
She said the roads in the area are an "accident waiting to happen" in its current state.
However, the Sinn Féin Councillor revealed that the area is set to benefit from a pilot road re-surfacing programme, something she says will make the
roads safe to walk on:
