Accommodation options could be considered - Cavan Junior Minister

A Cavan-Monaghan TD says extra measures may have to be considered as people remain without water and electricity.

Around 10,000 customers are still without power this afternoon across Cavan and Monaghan, making it one of the worst affected areas nationally.

Niamh Smyth was appointed as Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation yesterday.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, she says putting people up in hotels may have to be considered as options.
